There are 9 Hurtigruten cultural voyages on offer in 2017 with a special focus on the music, culture, art and history of Norway, based around the 12-day Classic Round Voyage (read the full itinerary details). Enjoy exclusive lectures, concerts and food tastings both on board and on shore, that will enlighten and delight you.

Note: For those who prefer a shorter Cultural Voyage it is possible to only take the 6 night Classic Voyage north or the 5 night Classic Voyage south based on the Cultural Voyage sailings (departure dates shown below). Please contact Project Travel for prices.

Day 1: Fly Dublin to Bergen. Coach transfer from airport to Bergen where you will stay for one night B&B in a centrally located hotel.

Day 2: [breakfast, dinner] At leisure to explore Bergen in the morning. Coach transfer to attend a pre-departure piano concert at Grieg’s house in Trollhaugen before boarding your Hurtigruten ship in the early evening. Your cabin will be allocated at time of boarding. You will stay in the cabin category of your choice for 11 nights on a full board basis.

Days 3 – 12:  [breakfast, lunch, dinner] Follow the coastline on the Classic Round Voyage itinerary but with the added benefit of an English-speaking Tour Leader on board together with a Tour Manager and lectures. On-board activities include a lecture series (Sami culture, Norwegian legends & myths, art, etc), concerts and recitals (on board and in unusual locations en route) as well as food tastings and demonstrations, exclusively for Cultural Voyage passengers.

Day 13: [breakfast, lunch] Arrive back in Bergen and disembark. Coach transfer to Bergen where you will stay for one night B&B in a centrally located hotel in Bergen in order to fit in with flight schedules back to Dublin.

Day 14: [breakfast] Coach transfer from central Bergen to airport. Fly Bergen to Dublin.
