Everything about Bermuda sounds like a cliché, but it really is all as wonderful as it sounds, if not more so! The people are friendly and welcoming, the waters are warm with more amazing shades of blue and turquoise than you’ve ever seen. And the sands on the divine beaches really are pink! The hotels and resorts are second to none and we only recommend those we have either stayed at or visited ourselves. The island is a golfer’s paradise, while the food, particularly the seafood, is amazing.
In the summer Bermuda is perfect for that extra special sun holiday and is one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations you can imagine. The best weather is experienced between May and mid-October when temperatures range from 23-29°C, so it is far more comfortable than one of those tropical places in the Caribbean which is actually 1000km further south.
During the winter months it averages a balmy 21°C, making it a great winter sun holiday alternative to the Canary Islands. Since the island’s only supply of fresh water is from rainfall, the occasional rainstorm which can occur at any time of year, is welcomed by the locals.
The island is an overseas territory of the UK so travel to Bermuda from Ireland is easy. There are daily flights from London to Bermuda between May and October, with four flights per week the rest of the year. The flight time from London is only around 6 hours.
